The iPhone 3G has been able to be jailbroken for some time now and there are several jailbreak solutions out there in the mobile arena that should make jailbreaking the iPhone 3G not too difficult.
But as with most things sometimes things can go not according to plan, either by user error or something else that delivers problems when attempting to jailbreak a mobile phone.
