The device is running 6.0 platform and all of the signs seem to be pointing in the direction of the fact thst this may not even show up on the US market, if it actually shows up on any market.

Over at BlackBerry OS have also managed to get their mitts on the spec sheet, for the device take it in when you read it as it appears that RIM is even a little unsure as to what to do with the Atlas, or even that it is geared for markets in Asia as spotted noted in the Bluetooth section.
