Firmware update for buggy Sidekick LX 2009 on its way

Are you experiencing problems with your Sidekick LX 2009 handset? Does the handset lock up, freeze, crash and generally just doesn’t go as it should? Well apparently if it does there may be a fix at hand as slashgear is reporting that a rumoured OTA update is on its way.

Sources as Hiptop3 say the new Sidekick LX 2009 firmware is at the moment being trialled by beta testers before said firmware update is release to the masses.

No word on if or what issued will be sorted with the new Sidekick LX 2009 firmware update, but one should expect a wide-ranging overhaul to address the freezing issue with the core device and the social networking applications.

YES Finally! i hope they take their time and thoroughly resolve these issues because I am one of those people who has experienced several freezes and crashes with the new LX which is a shame for such a high-end phone. Danger get ready for the 100 papercuts project >:O

My sidekick locked up on me few times(I bought it in Jan 2011). I do not have phone service. I am only using it as camera, mp3 and picture player.
I was hoping to use it also as movie player-but on movies the display size shrinks to something like 1.5x 1.25 inch and the picture is distorted, which it is just pathetic.I tried several different converters(incl. Sharp’s own), but it is all the same.
Is there any upgrade for this problem?
Other than that,it is. O.K.(I said O.K….not great!)
