Looks like the Palm Pre smartphones younger brother the webOS packing Palm Pixi has now gained a release date and will include Sprint corporate stores along with presumably Best Buy locations reports the BGR.

They state their information comes via a new source but does sound right, so the expected release day for the new Palm Pixi is said to be the 20th of October.

However when you take into consideration that already out there in the mobile world is the iPhone 3GS, the Palm Pre, and soon to be released BlackBerry Storm 2, Motorola CLIQ and the BlackBerry Bold 9700, does the Palm Pixi stand much of a chance?
