Over the air music downloads are coming to BlackBerry smartphones such as the BlackBerry Tour and BlackBerry Storm via online music provider 7digital reports an article over on Cnet.

7digital has now launched their app developed by DevelopIQ to BlackBerry App World and also to the 7digital website.

Once the free application is installed,, BlackBerry smartphone users will be able to purchase and download over 6 million songs for all 4 major record labels an independents in unprotected MP3 format. Fairly well known in Europe, 7digital powers the download store for Spotify and other partnerships.

With 7digial now in the US, standard song prices are 77 cents while albums cost $7.77 and they also offer a free digital locker service to back up all your downloads.
