Firmware update v11.0.054 for Nokia 5530 XpressMusic released

Apparently the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is now receiving a firmware update to version 11.0.054 which according to a report by noknok, brings the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic in line with other smartphones running Symbian S60 5th Edition.

The word is other than the usual bug fixes, the main change is v11.0.054 delivers a smoother home screen, although there is apparently no changelog available.

Firmware update v11.0.054 for the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is only just appearing in Nokia Software Updater, but does look to be a minor update rather than a major one.

I am attempting to update my Nokia 5530 Software
by the Nokia Software Updater and i am getting
\”there is no new update to your phone or your provider
did not approve the new version of your phone\”
my phone has the older version of SW but still it won\’t work
how can i bypass it or install the new firmware with a different provider???

I need help!!
Im trying to update my nokia 5530 but when I tap on the Phone Software (from the software update) theres a exclamation point (!) and nothing happened.
Another is when I tap on the Adobe FlashLite it says download failed also same as the other
How can I fixed it??

tried to update by software using the updater on OVI suite. The screen went white. it says connection lost and take out battery & then put back in and re connnect. I did all that and now the phone is totally dead. will not turn on, charge or anything. Nokia say I have to send it back to them, and i am on holiday in 3 weeks. total nightmare!! anyone any ideas how to reset it?
