Looks like there are some big smartphone wars heating up on the horizon between two giant teams; in one corner we have iPhone team Apple and AT&T and in the other corner we have Google Android and Verizon Wireless.
An article on nypost reports that a joint venture between Verizon Communications and Britain’s Vodafone, Verizon Wireless has stated it will introduce 2 Android platform handsets this year and will roll out an unspecified number of smartphones.
Analysts have commented that the partnership with Verizon is a major win for Google, which is enthusiastic to extend its dominance in paid search outside computers to the growing range of mobile handsets.
