If you own an HTC Hero with Sprint it probably will not operate on EVDO Rev.A, which is Sprint’s fastest network and was promised to do so, reports the Examiner.

Apparently if you check Settings and click About Phone and click Status and then view Mobile Network Type, it will probably show EVDO Rev.0, which happens to be a slower network.

The word is that several users have noticed this major quality issue with the Sprint HTC Hero, which could easily be sorted with a simple update, and as Sprint customer service has improved some over the past year, hopefully they will do it soon.
