Poll: iPhone Coma Mode and Battery Life, did OS 3.1.2 fix them?

Apple have now released the 3.1.2 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and the changelog shows like a who’s’ who of bug fixes.

Question is though did it fix the bugs in your device? From common problems experienced with battery life issues to the coma mode? According to Apple the OS 3.1.2 applies to iPhone, iPhone 3G and of course iPhone 3GS.

The improvements are said to include the iPhone not waking from it’s sleep, the intermittent issue that may interrupt network services until a restart and bug fixes for the occasional crash during video streaming. The update can be downloaded from iTunes. Source – theiphoneblog.com

I had my Iphone 3gs 32g shipped from Australia factory unlocked and I have been extremely disappointed with the battery. I have fully charged the Iphone and in less than 20 minutes after 1 text and 3 webpage downloads on Edge not G it drains down past 90% and after 1 hour of it has drained down to 81% and I only viewd facebook for 5 minutes. I loaded the latest 3.1 yesterday hoping this would improve but to no avail……
For what these phones cost this is a slap in the face.

I updated to 3.1.2 after having none of the known issues from 3.1, and like the earlier post, I have dramatic battery drainage. My phone has been off the charger for 2 hours today, and with VERY LIGHT usage (a few texts, a website or 2 on wifi and downloading 1 new app, and not even running said app yet) I am at 50%. The only thing that has changed it the firmware. This SUCKS! I hope the fix this nonsense soon.
