

On the subject of that supposed swipe at the iPhone with Verizon’s new Droid Does campaign, the guys over at the iphone blog asked some “non-geek” friends what they thought, and most of them didn’t even realise Verizon was targeting the iPhone.
Which is kind of interesting as does this mean only geeks get the commercial’s meaning, or have Verizon just targeted the commercial towards mobile phone geeks?
The guys also surmise that Verizon’s push with Droid could explain why Verizon hasn’t made an official announcement with the BlackBerry Storm 2. So could this also be seen as a swipe against RIM as well?
