Okay so now we know, according to an article over on quickpwn, the new Verizon branded Motorola Droid now has a release date apparently announced by the Droid Does website.

Said release date for the new Verizon Motorola Droid will apparently be the 30th of October 2009, and there is a timer at the bottom of the page and also the ability to enter your email for notification on when the Verizon Droid gets released.

The article also states most of the specs have been posted to the website which includes Android 2.0 OS, open development, widgets, QWERTY keyboard, multitasking ability, night shots, more customisation and interchangeable battery.
