Nokia does its bit in Philippines

The recent back to back typhoons in the Philippines have had devastating effects and Nokia has stepped up to the mark and has donated aid and support for the victims, reports daily mobile.

Nokia has generously donated more than PHP 10 million worth of relief medicines and goods and are being distributed via relief operations headed by the Philippine National Red Cross and AVS-CBN Foundation.

In addition to this, via Nokia Helping Hands, Nokia’s employee volunteering scheme, local Nokia employees have distributed relief packs to 3000 families in Barabgay San Antonio, Binan, Laguna with each pack containing water, food, a blanket and soap. Furthermore Nokia has donated mobile phones and free call and text centres in the affected areas.
