Hero Kernel released by HTC

One of the largest problems that HTC Hero modders have been face with in their attempt to create the perfect Hero ROM has been the lack of available open source kernel.

With access being restricted to not include the full kernel, there is only so much that can actually be hacked or modded. That has just all changed as HTC themselves have posted up the full HTC Kernel for any developer out their interested in tweaking their own ROM for the HERO.

The Hero Kernel should allow the code monkeys at XDA forums to make some far more reaching modifications to the Hero’s ROM. What that means to us is that the Hero may well soon be getting some new features and maybe even more speed. To find out more information please visit intomobile.com
