Verizon and Google join to support FCC net neutrality

It appears that Verizon Wireless and Google have issued a join statement concerning net neutrality, which seems kind of strange when Google wants the FCC to enforce the regulation regardless of medium while mobile phone carriers want to be exempt reports engadget mobile.

Apparently the statement has been attributed to Eric Schmidt and Lowell McAdam, but there’s no real surprise in the statement that basically echoes what most ISP’s have been saying.

Verizon and Google don’t quite see eye to eye on the finer points and look forward to a lively debate with the fellows in Washington, but do say “there will be disagreements along the way.”
