Version 3.2 of Google Maps for Mobile has been officially release for BlackBerry smartphones and apparently comes with support for layers reports an article on Crackberry.

Now you may ask what a layer is. Well basically layers makes it easy to view various sorts of info on your map and helpful in travelling situations, such as the user can turn on the Wikipedia layer and read about nearby places and such.
