Verizon Droid the news low down

There is much news concerning the launch of the Verizon Droid lately as wireless and mobile news posts a rundown of relevant Droid news, one of which is that the only unlocked Droid available on eBay has a current high bid of $1,125.

Other news floating the net waves is that Droid isn’t just a name but a series of smartphone which will come out of Verizon, the first of which, the Motorola Droid is expected to be introduced on the 28th of October, the same day Verizon puts the BlackBerry Storm 2 up for grabs.

The Droid has appeared on the Motorola website unexpectedly giving everyone a fist look at the Droid specs which are Android 2.0 (Éclair) OS, 480 x 854 touch screen, sliding QWERTY, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
