A screenshot of a Verizon employee training course has hit the net wave and shows Verizon reps are now being trained on the Verizon Droid Eris handset according to the article over on android guys.

The puzzling thing is why would Verizon bury the launch of the Droid Eris alongside the much more high profile Motorola Droid? Obviously the Motorola Droid is going to grab all that limelight.

The guys are apparently waiting to see if the hardware and any pricing info was included in the Droid Eris training course, but they say it’s their experience that you don’t put your reps through training until the last minute so an announcement should be forthcoming.
