Droid is the name and Android is within, yes the release date has been confirmed for two Droid phones.

The first phone is the Motorola Droid and the second is the HTC Droid Eris which are both releasing on Verizon for November 6th, we mentioned about the release date earlier but we thought we would remind you just in case you missed it.

You should be able to get these phones from and Verizon Wireless store, we are not sure if this is all definitely true confirmations as of yet so we will go with what BGR is saying for now.
