Arguably the very best version of the Google Mobile OS Android 2.0 went public very recently and it is already becoming more and more popular.
Following the Motorola baby Droid, the HTC Hero will soon become the second smartphone to run Android 2.0 which has been confirmed through an official HTC tweet. Although the exact date hasn’t yet been confirmed the update implies that HTC will let go the 1.6 update which was initially due for the Hero.
It is expected that an Eclair update is due for other HTC devices but an official announcement has not been made yet. Source - devicemag.com
