iPhone Unlimited not unlimited with Orange UK?

Despite Orange UK advertising they offer unlimited access with the iPhone they impose a 750MB limit on downloads which has apparently cause some furore on web forums and Twitter, but Orange UK continue to defend their iPhone “unlimited” package reports an article over on pcpro.

Apparently dave_thompson84 a Twitter user asked “How can Orange claim that their iPhone contract comes with unlimited Internet usage when it’s got a 750meg limit?”

Orange UK still sticks by their policy and is defiant saying that the 750MB is “ample.” A spokesperson for Orange has said, “There have been reports saying that we are back-tracking, but that’s not true – we haven’t even got any customers on the service yet.” And continued with that when they are up and running they will review the situation but having sold the iPhone in 28 countries they have found 750MB is ample for normal downloading.
