We all know that the Apple iPhone will no longer be exclusive to O2 in the UK because carriers like Orange and Vodafone will be releasing the handset.

Good news for O2 UK iPhone customers once other carriers start selling the iPhone, this is good news because O2 UK will allow you to unlock your iPhone. If you do unlock your iPhone you will still have to honour your outstanding contract term, as soon as your contract ends you will be free to move to another operator.

Not too sure how this all works as of yet, not too sure if you can do this from home online, by phone or you will have to see an O2 store rep. We will let you know much more as soon as we hear more about it.
