Verizon Wireless has now gone official with the HTC Droid Eris and the guys over at intomobile have got hold of the HTC Droid Eris and given the smartphone some hands-on love.

They say the HTC Droid Eris is a lot like the HTC Hero and is a more affordable Android handset than the new Motorola Droid as it commands a price tag of just $99 on Verizon.
