Garmin to offer Android handset in 2010?

Apparently, Garmin, in a recent webcast, showed off plans to expand their fledgling product family with a new mobile phone that will run on the Android operating system reports an article over on gsmarena.

Well if the Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 and nuvifone M20 are anything to judge by as they must have taken the longest time on record to reach the market, one can expect to see a Garmin Android smartphone oh sometime over the next five or so years I would think.

Garmin’s announcement comes on the back of Google’s announcement for the free Google Maps Navigation for Android, but there is no more info available at this time, but no doubt Garmin will make some kind of announcement over the coming months…or years.
