Verizon are prepping new firmware updates which is apparently coming in December for the Motorola Droid and the HTC Eris Droid, updates already is not a good sign.

No one wishes to hear about issues with these devices already but so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Verizon has a very long list of issues on both the Motorola DROID and HTC DROID Eris; in fact there are five-pages for the Motorola device and whopping seven-pages for the DROID Eris.

The issues being mentioned can all be fixed with the new upcoming firmware updates so please do not worry yourselves too much, the updates are supposed to be coming between December and January so fingers crossed.

Some of the problems mentioned include issues with the camera auto-focus with a targeted resolution, there are also Bluetooth issues. For more in-depth information and images of the Product Technical Bulletins please visit Phandroid’s site by clicking these two links – Read DROIDRead DROID Eris

Oh for heaven’s sake. if everyone waited for their product to be bug free before release we’d still be lighting our homes with gas lamps and torches. Kudos to Verizon and Moto for addressing issues so quickly. I’ve been using the Droid since it’s release on Nov 6 and have no problems at all. The GPS is fast and accurate, the Phone never drops calls like the iPhone 3GS, Exchange integration is very, very good. voice recognition is awesome and web browsing is beautiful. The music player is clear.

What the hell, sounds like the update is going to make the best phone out there even better.
