One would have thought that someone as big as Sony would have gone mobile with their music some time ago, but apparently Sony’s music arm has finally taken the plunge into the mobile phone world and partnered with Azuki Systems to deliver optimised websites of Sony’s artists to the mobile phone reports intomobile.

And if you are going to take that step then the first official website to launch has to be the world’s most famous singer, the king of pop, Michael Jackson, which can be found at m.michaeljackson.com and features such features as photos, news, streaming access to Jackson classic videos like Beat It, Thriller and Billy Jean.

The Michael Jackson website has been optimised to work on all the latest top end mobile handsets such as the iPhone, Android handsets, Palm Pre, Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Store, and of course no doubt other mobile phone will do the same such as Symbian S60 handsets.

The Michael Jackson website is just the first to be optimised for mobile from Sony’s artist catalogue, and no doubt more mobile versions of their other performer’s website will follow in due course.
