Verizon says the truth hurts in reply to AT&T lawsuit

The Verizon AT&T 3G network coverage Droid adverts battle rages on; the other day we posted about AT&T’s response to the Verizon attacks, you can read the article (here) and today we have a retaliation response from Verizon Wireless courtesy of engadge mobile.

It would appear that neither is going to back down over this confrontation as Verizon issue a statement about AT&T’s lawsuit, which Verizon says AT&T didn’t file the lawsuit due to Verizon’s “There’s A Map For That” ads being untrue, but because the Verizon ads are true and the truth hurts.

So it appears this battle is going to be one of those tit-for-tat fights where each bite each other’s ass until someone eventually gives, or the public just don’t care anymore.

Verizon does state though that AT&T concedes the maps are correct, and so having the adverts pulled without any proof Verizon is misleading mobile phone users just wouldn’t be fair.

But let’s face it, from the Americans I know they are quite aware of AT&T’s network reputation, but as AT&T have the iPhone and many want the iPhone that reputation gets sidelined, so maybe Verizon should concentrate on bringing the iPhone to their network and then let the people decide.
