Pink Aura Issue with HTC HD2 Camera?

Although most smartphone users probably mainly use their smarphone for voice calls, text messaging, email and using applications, there will probably come a point when they use the smartphones camera as well and this goes for the HTC HD2 as well.

Well according to a report by engadget mobile several HTC HD2 handsets are experiencing a problem with its 5 megapixel camera in the form of pink auras circling the middle of a captured image, which apparently can appear to the casual image taker as weird white balance in a busy scene.

Although there have been reports that newer HTC HD2 handset seem to have solved the problem it appears that possibly older versions made need to be swapped out for a fix.

Other than that there isn’t a great deal of info on this issue but maybe a firmware update will bring a solution to rid the HTC HD2 of pink auras, and if it does will let you know. Any of our readers with an HTC HD2 experiencing image issues like this one?

once I saw the review of the HTC HD2 I was hooked. Finally a phone with the screen size to match my PSP. Plus all the other bells and whistles. I am an avid Windows Mobile user so I was a little disappointed that once in the states, the HD2 will not be running WM on the Verizon version (Passion). However, that’s just my own lack of experience or change. After reading a bunch of reviews, it sounds like not having WM OS will be a plus. If you own a HTC HD2, you discuss the phone at http://www.HTCHD2Forum.com I will be there often to share tricks.
