Spotify App now available for Symbian handsets

The Swedish music service, Spotify, who have already launched both an iPhone and Android app has now released an application for Symbian, and this new Spotify for Symbian app will make the service available for millions more smartphones available in Europe.

With Spotify Mobile now being available to download for Symbian such mobile phones from Nokia like the 5800 XpressMusic and the Nokia E71 can enjoy Spotify. Other Symbian handset such as the Sony Ericsson Satio and Samsung GT-I8910 Omnia HD can also utilise the app.

To find out if your smartphone can run the Spotify application hit up m.spotify.com via your mobile browser to check if your handset is supported, or if you put in your mobile number on the Spotify page they’ll send you a text.

So there you have it, if you’ve been envious of iPhone and Android having Spotify while your Symbian handsets goes without, now you can grab it for yourself and get in on the music action.
