Christmas Gifts 2009: Your top touchscreen phones

The smartphone is quickly taking over the basic mobile phone in popularity mainly due to their touch screen technology and ease of use, and no doubt many will be looking for a touch screen smartphone this Christmas and to that end the guys over at mobiletor have come up with what in their opinion are seven touch screen handset for Christmas.

First on the list is the Nokia N97 smartphone, a horizontal slider with 3.2 inch touch screen, 5 megapixel camera and auto-focus, 32GB memory, with a price tag of Rs. 33500. This is followed by the Samsung Omnia HD with a 3.7 inch touch screen, 16GB storage, Bluetooth, WiFi, Symbian OS, 8 megapixel camera and commands a price of Rs. 33990.

Then there’s the Samsung UltraTouch a slider form factor handset with 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Bluetooth 2.1, 80MB internal memory but misrocSD expansion up to 16GB and costs RS.27500. Then we have the HTC Magic, an Android handset with 3.2 inch touch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, and I’m sure you know all the details except the price which is RS.29900.

Then there’s the iPhone 3G, which everyone knows and has an abundance of features along with a 3.5 inch touch screen and commands a price tag of Rs. 36100. This is followed by the LG Arena which packs a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and costs Rs.23500.

Lastly there is the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 smartphone with slider form factor and 3 inch VGA screen, QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile operating system and commands a price tag of Rs. 44500. So there you have it, 7 touch screen smartphone for Christmas.
