Exchange Calendar Sync Issue reported with webOS 1.3.1

Exchange Calendar Sync Issue reported with webOS 1.3.1

Under: Phone Software
Date: December 7th, 2009

Apparently there are reports that there is a problem with some Exchange users experiencing an issue which prevents the syncing of calendar data between Exchange servers and their mobile phone since webOS 1.3.1 reports precentral.

The word is this problem is linked to an incorrect time zone setting, but there is an unofficial workaround available, which means going to Date & Time menu, setting Network time to off and then manually input the correct time zone, which should then restore proper sync functionality.

Although Palm realise this is an issue for some, they look to be having a difficult time trying to reproduce said issue, and a Palm tech support employee has stated they have been trying to reproduce the issue for a while but can’t get the same results some are seeing.

The tech employee when on to add that they would like to see a log from someone who has turned off network time and thus has resolved the issue and someone doing the same thing did not resolve the problem.

So anyone of our readers with a Palm webOS 1.3.1 handset had the same problem?
