A new service out by Google is all about using pictures to search the web, apparently a picture is worth a thousand words. Ok so how good is this new Google Goggles service then?

Below you can see a video of this service being tested which we found via IntoMobile which is definitely worth a watch. The new service allows you to search the web without using words which means all you need to do is take pictures.

You can find out about businesses that are close by and all you need to do is point your phone at the store, this new service is not right up to scratch yet because Google will be adding more to it. This new Google Goggles visual search app is definitely a must even just for fun.

This service is available on mobile phones that run Android 1.6+ (i.e. Donut or Eclair), the video shows you how Google Goggles works and it does work pretty well indeed when it works and sometimes it does not work at all.
