Motorola working on new Android App Store called SHOP4APPS

I guess the Android Market simply isn’t enough for the likes of the Motorola Droid and future Android based smartphone coming out of Motorola as according to an article over on unwired view, Motorola is gearing up to launch their very own applications store.

The Motorola applications store is to be known as SHOP4APPS and is web based and even available for a short period of time but was quickly made unavailable, but not before a few snaps were taken luckily enough.

Apparently SHOP4APPS once live will be available via both Android based handsets and desktop computer, although presumable downloads an application will only be to the handset while browsing the store can be done via the desktop.

The user will apparently require a free mobile client known as MotoAppstore which is as word has it still in the testing stage. SHOP4APPS will feature a place where your download history is store called MyLocker, the ability to re-download and transfer applications and auto-notification when new versions of apps become available.

Lastly the word is Motorola will initially introduce SHOP4APPS only in the United States, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
