As with all new smartphones that get rumoured or launched they inevitably go through the traditional comparison against the king of the smartphone world, the Apple iPhone. The iPhone in various versions has for some years dominated the mobile arena and maintained its stranglehold of its title.

I wont go on about how good the iPhone is although there are many who simply dislike the iPhone you have to hand it to Apple the iPhone changed the game in the mobile phone world.

And now Google are stepping into the smartphone world with their Nexus One smartphone, a handset that has been tipped will again be a game changer especially if Google go the unlocked route and sell the Nexus One themselves.

So the question is does the Nexus One have what it takes to take down the iPhone and capture the smartphone crown for itself? Many smartphones have tried in the past, the Palm Pre, and Motorola Droid to name just two, but can the Nexus One be victorious where others have failed?
