CES 2010 may see Sprint and Microsoft WiMAX Handset

Apparently word has it that there is a chance that during CES 2010 Sprint and Microsoft may unveil a WiMAX 4G Windows Mobile phone, although this is speculation and hasn’t been confirmed reports an article over on unwired view.

Apparently Sprint has sent out invites to a press conference one day before CES 2010, on the 6th of January, and at said press event will be Sprint CEO Dan Hesse along with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

Word also has it that Sprint has been saying that the event is a “must attend” and is the “hottest spot at CES.”

Of course both companies may just announce something like a netbook, but the word is there is a good chance they will announce a WiMAX mobile phone. Also, and probably not related to the Microsoft event, Sprint will host a CES 2010 event along with LG on January the 7th where Brooke Shields will be in attendance to unveil a “stylish phone.”
