CES 2010: 3D games for Palm Pre

During CES 2010, Palm announced 3D gaming is coming to the Palm Pre smartphone, and according to an article over on i4u, 7 3D games have now been introduced to the Palm App Catalogue as new capabilities with the Palm webOS Plug-in Development Kit enables the use of graphic intense games.

The 3D games for the Palm Pre currently in the App Catalogue are…The Sims 3, MONOPOLY, and Need for Speed Undercover, all from EA Mobile; Let’s Golf! and Asphalt 5, both from Gameloft; X-Plane from Laminar Research, and Glyder 2 from Glu Mobile.

The Palm webOS Plug-in Development Kit extends the Palm SDK with tools for enabling immersive 3D gaming and a public beta version is slated for developers sometime in March.

Finally, there are 5 other mobile games to be introduced at some point which are Tetris, SCRABBLE and Sudoku from EA Mobile and Brain Challenge and The Oregon Trail from Gameloft.
