Apple iPhone wins over Droid in Touchscreen analysis

A recent test which compares the sensitivity and the accuracy of smartphone touchscreens on various makers gave the Apple iPhone the thumbs up.

The iPhone came out on top of HTC’s Droid Eris and the Google Nexus One and had better results than the Motorola Droid as well.

Moto labs that published the results has had a lot of years of experience developing products that use capacitive touch, and they have been testing out all the latest devices.

In order to show the results and demonstrate the differences Moto developed a simple test which applies finger pressure across the screen using a drawing application. Accuracy is measured in a variety of factors. Under light pressure the iPhone passed with straight and unbroken lines, the Droid Eris, Nexus One and Droid all had accuracy problems.
