Will you buy AT&T Motorola Backflip March 7th?

Yesterday we posted that the Motorola Backflip smartphone will be with AT&T as of the 7th of March, you can read the full post (here). Furthermore the AT&T Motorola Backflip will command a price tag of some $324 for the unusual QWERTY smartphone.

The Motorla Backflip packs Android 1.5 with MOTOBLUR and a 5 megapixel camera, but now that Google has made available their Nexus One superphone which packs Android 2.1, 5 megapixel camera, but no physical QWERTY, will the Motorola Backflip make good sales.

The hype is completely focused on the Nexus One where Android is concerned at the moment, so it may have an effect on just how well the Motorola Backflip fairs in the market. I mean obviously most of the Android faithful are going to opt for the Nexus One right?

So what we are curious to know is will you buy the Motorola Backflip from AT&T on March the 7th, or have you already, or are considering purchasing the Google Nexus One superphone instead.

  1. It’s a tough call. I’m not fond of the backflip running 1.5 – I think the Nexus One offers more, even without the keyboard. However, I’m still locked into my contract with AT&T until 2011, so if I want 3G and android without paying an arm and a leg to get one from Rodgers in Canada, this will be my best bet.

One point I’ll make clear – I won’t extend my contract with AT&T ever again, so I’ll be paying full price for whatever phone I get.
