Nokia Symbian^4 competes with iPhone and Googles Android

Nokia has turned in its proposal for the Symbian 4^ user interface with the intention of developing an interface that can compete with both the iPhone and Google’s Android operating system.

Symbian 4^ will start to show up on smartphones in the beginning of 2011 according to the Symbian developer website, and wikl have a new user interface.

There are various improvements including minimising user prompts auto saving features to reduce the number of save commands the same look and feel for all applications but a new interface layout according to Nokia’s proposal.

The new interface will have four main views contacts, photos, music and applications. Users will be able to create their own shortcuts and place them on the home screen to access content items as they wish. Source – tech world.com
