Azzurri Communications partner with 02 for better support

Great news for smartphone users everywhere as an announcement that Azzurri Communications are partnering with 02 and this will ensure better support for smartphone users.

This move will provide better support for iPhone, BlackBerry and Palm Pre users. Azzurri will manage a base of 02 customers and thy will aim to focus its mobile operations almost solely on 02. Even giving some other direct network relationships in the process.

02 business sales director Ben Dowd claims that the network operator will continue to move away from being seen just as a mobile brand to a leading connectivity service brand. The question is though can 02 offer the services to back up this claim.

The chief executive officer for Azzurri Communications Gordon Matthew seems to think so. 02’s network coverage, product strategy, and vision are the most compelling of all the UK mobile operators and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Gordon also believes that they will be working with a winning team. Lets hope so.

I am not very happy with Azzurri Customer Relations. I am in the process of writing to Gordon Mathew, C E O to see if he can ascertain the information that I require and "PAMELA" has not seen fit to get back to me with information regarding a Suspect contract. Thank you in anticipation of a prompt reply.

I'm also very unhappy with them, following a transfer from O2 to them, and a new two year contract being put on O2's systems with no authorisation. There are a few similar stories on the internet – not impressed.

  2. Kerry Lomas says:

Yes just found out that ive been upgraded by Azzuri Communications without authorisation from me and aparently ive had a new handset which is (sarcastically) why i bothered to queue for an hour on Thursday to get the iphone 4 (which incidentally i didn't get) because i was told that I had already upgraded!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Julia Alexander says:

I have just been told by O2 that Azzuri that our company entered into a new account for 12 months from November 2009. This is totally fallacious – our contract expires in October this so why would we have needed to take out another one. Our so-called "mobile specialist" at Azzuri doesn't seem able or willing to reply to phone calls or emails. Not sure where to go next.

I have just spent the best part of 4 hours trying to get through to Azzuri office for customer relations
I have 4 diggerent numbers and they all go to answer phone tellinh me they are busy, even the options say the same.
finally got through left a message woth Douglas at 1.40pm for Jane my account manager.
At 4.20 I rang again and got the same position answer phones, I went back to O2 who got through, I spoke to Sarah McMullan office manager , not at all helpful, but she will get somebody to call me back.
Its now 6.02, pm I have still not had a phone call fron Azzuri.
Does Gorden Mathew, or Ben Dowd know what is going on further down inside there company.
I shall be letting them know as I think the service is appalling.
Michael King MSK TRADERS LTD, I shall be attemping to get away from Azzuri just as soon as possible

  5. Michael King says:

The service that I have experience this afternoon is little less than appalling, I first rang at 1 pm, its now 6.10pm and still nobody has returned my calls, in fact 02 has just sorted it out .
02 sent emails to your office, I rang01355 841058 -841000 08000966505 many times, at 4.20 Sarah McMullan the office manager said she would get Jane to call me back, its now 6.25pm still nobody from your company has phoned.
I shall be wrotting to Gorden Mattew, Ben Dowd, as surely they cannot know what is happening inside your company

  6. O2 CUSTOMER says:

TRIED TO UPGRADE TODAY WITH MY LOCAL O2 STORE WHER I BOUGHT 3 COMPANY PHONES AND WHEN I WENT IN TO THE STORE TO GET MY SECOND YEAR MID TERM UPGRADES I WAS TOLD THAT AZZURRI HAVE UPGRADED ME TO NEW PHONES I DID NOT WANT AND HAVE PUT MY COMPANY ON A NEW 24 MONTH CONTRACT, PURE DISCRACE TO O2 TO ENABLE A SECOND PARTY TO TAKE ON MY CONTRACT WE TOOK UP WITH THEM,

  7. Andrew Quested says:

Just had the same disgraceful actions by azzurri who have been interfering with our contracts without our authorisation. Who are 02 kidding when they say the system will be more transparent and effecient.
The worrying part is that 02 do not seem to even know who is running which account and our information is out in the public domain.

  8. Sloppy Joe says:

I've just received an lovely new iPhone 4 in the post from Azzurri. Well, someone else has but it has been delivered to my address. I'm not even an O2 customer – not since I told them to shove their contract two months ago. As for iPhones, what a piece of crap anyway. Reading the above about Azzurri I don't even know if I could be bothered returning it to them. It even has an O2 sim in it for frigssake.

  9. Rich says:

I've had the same erroneous 24 month contract renewal problems. Both Azzurri and O2 seem unwilling to do anything about it… my case has been dragging on since september. Either they have proof that I entered into a new contract of they don't. It's practically theft.
