Bluetooth 3.0 Debuts on Samsung GT-S8500

The latest Bluetooth, Bluetooth 3.0 has now made its first appearance on the Samsung GT-S8500 mobile phone according to a filing by Bluetooth SIG reports an article over on phone scoop.

The description give the Samsung GT-S8500 is that it is a full touch handset with ‘reinforced features’; those features include, a 3.1 inch OLED anti-resistive, outdoor viewable touch screen, quad-band GSM/EDGE, and TouchWiz user interface.

Bluetooth 3.0 was first announced way back in April 09,, and while other Bluetooth 3.0 devices have been approved the Samsung GT-S8500 handset is the first consumer mobile phone to pack Bluetooth 3.0.

The Samsung GT-S8500 is reportedly a slim and compact handset that will become available is differing colours, although specification may change as the FCC has not yet approved the Samsung GT-S5800 for the USA.
