iPhone Boosts Softbank Net Profit 41 Percent

Looks like the iPhone is doing well for Japan’s Softbank as the company says that fiscal Q3 net profit leapt 41 percent due to strong sales of the iconic iPhone and services reports an article over on the WSJ.

The 3rd largest mobile phone firm by subscribers in Japan stated that their net profit for the 3 months ending December was 24.1 billion yen, which is roughly $265.9 million, and is up from the 17.1 billion yen the previous year.

However, the net profit fell below the estimated 45.7 billion complied by a survey of fourteen analysts by data provider Thomson Reuters.

Softbank operating profit jumped some 43 percent to 135.7 billion yen which is up from 94.7 billion the previous year on revenue of some 696 billion yen which was up from 653.3 billion.
