iPhone OS 3.1.3 IPSW Jailbreak confirmed by Dev Team

The game is for Apple to keep pushing out new iPhone updates and for the iPhone Dev Team to keep hacking the new updates to allow jailbreaking of the iPhone, a cat and mouse game which has gone on for ages and will continue to do so.

Well Apple pushes out iPhone OS 3.1.3 update which at first the iPhone Dev Team issued a warning not to update to iPhone 3.1.3 if you still want your jailbreak and unlock.

However, according to an article over on softpedia, the iPhone Dev Team has now confirmed that iPhone OS 3.1.3 IPSW’s are indeed jailbreakable with the redsn0w jailbreak tool, and confirms redsn0w works for iPhone OS 3.1.3 on the iPhone 2G,iPhone 3G and iPod Touch.

Currently the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G are not supported by any jailbreak tools, but the iPhone Dev Team is “reviving” redsn0w so it is compatible with iPhone OS 3.1.2.

  1. You can JB 3.1.3 iphone 2g + 3g from what i have tested by simply selecting the 3.1.2 ipsw instead,

Maybe 2% of people that have upgraded their firmare could run fuzzyband and downgrade their bootloader which would allow them to also downgrade their baseband

2g is fine, but once you have upgraded to 3.1.3 on a 3g or 3gs you may be in a bit of bother, as the BB is once again locked down to the known unlocking exploits
