Google Android software 2.1 for Droid with multitouch this week

Under: Google Android, Motorola
Date: February 9th, 2010

Great news for you Motorola owners out there as it has been reported recently that the software is going to upgraded later this week.

The announcement was made on their official Facebook page, and claims that the over the air software update will bring the Droid software up a peg or two towards the Google Nexus One, although some features wont be present.

The Facebook announcement really just played with us as it gave no information on any features that will come with the upgrade. Having said that despite the lips being held tightly shut, the guys over at Engadget have found some more information.

According to Engadget’s trusted sources the 2.1 software update for the Motorola Droid will be bringing multitouch capabilities to the built in browser and also for Google Maps 3.4 and Google Goggles visual search. Really all we can do is wait patiently for the update and hope we get what we want from it. Source – itworldcanada.com
