HTC Desire to be offered by Orange UK from April

Under: Mobile Phones
Date: February 16th, 2010

Looks like us Brits will be getting a taste of the Nexus One twin, the HTC Desire come April as apparently France Telecom has announced that Orange UK will offer the HTC Desire in April on a 2 year contract for £35 per month reports an article over on itproportal.

Apparently the HTC Desire will also be offered as a business package and will be the first Android smartphone to be launched by Orange this year as part of their “Orange Signature” range.

The Director of Devices for Orange UK, Francois Mahieu has said that they are really pleased to work with HTC to deliver the latest Android 2.1 handset to the market, and that the HTC Desire is a truly powerful device.

As the HTC Desire will be part of Orange UK’s “Orange Signature” range the HTC Desire will sport several of Orange only services such as, Orange Maps, Orange Windows Live, Orange TV, Games and photography. (Orange Windows Live on Android? Surely not!).
