It has been announced at the Mobile World Congress that we can expect to see the HTC smart in the UK from April available on 02.

It will be advertised by 02 as one of the most affordable smartphones on the market and it offers users easy to use widgets easy web browsing and connectivity. It comes with a 2.8 touchscreen and a 3 megapixel camera.

Peter Chou, chief executive officer of HTC has said that more and more people crave advanced mobile technology but usually the cost and complexity often presents an obstacle for many. The HTC Smart introduces this functionality in an intuitive phone that is affordable.

The HTC Smart runs on Qualcomm’s Brew Mobile Platform which allows HTC to deliver the same HTC Sense experience as is seen on a lot of its top of the range smartphones. The Smart will be available in three different colours pink, black and white. Although not confirmed by either 02 not HTC we would expect the price to be around £20 per month.
