Apple have recently announced that music fanatics have actually downloaded and purchased over 10 billion songs from the iTunes store. The most popular online store for music TV and movies.

The 10 billionth song was purchased by Louie Sulcer from Georgia, and as the winner of the iTunes countdown to 10 billion songs Louie will receive a $10,000 iTunes gift card.

Apple’s vice president of Internet services, Eddy Cue has said that they are grateful to all customers for helping them reach the amazing milestone. They are extremely proud that iTunes has become the number one music retailer in the world, and selling 10 billion songs is truly staggering.

Apple continue to brag about the ongoing success of the iTunes store, saying that the store has a catalog of over 12 million songs and over 55,000 Television episodes and more than 8,500 movies. So it is quite obvious really why Apple are bragging again. Source – softpedia.com
