The word is that the latest Android smartphone from Google, the Nexus One will hit UK shores via Vodafone UK as of April and should hit the UK roundabout the same time as the latest HTC smartphone the HTC Desire reports an article over on itproportal.

They gain their info via the Telegraph which apparently states that sources close to both firms have now confirmed that the Google Nexus One will be with Vodafone UK in April although Vodafone themselves have only confirmed a spring launch for the Nexus One.

Up until then Nexus One wannabees in the UK have been able to purchase the Nexus One direct from Google over in the states for the sum of £450 excluding VAT.

The word is that the Vodafone Nexus One pricing will be along similar lines as the iPhone, but just how similar that will be in comparison we’ll have to wait and see.
