Nokia Symbian Phones get Skype from Ovi Store

Great news here for Nokia users as the Skype mobile application is now ready for Nokia Symbian phones.

You can get the app either from Nokia’s Ovi online application store or alternatively at the Skype website. This is a big step for the mobile world out there as Skype now offers official free VoIP services that enable users to talk for free using their internet as the transmission.

It will work over both Wi-Fi and 3G internet, and it doesn’t only allow free calls it will also permit users to send instant messages, text messages and share videos and also photo’s if you wish.

Skype had recently announced a partnership with Verizon and made a similar application for the BlackBerry and Android phones sold under the carriers name. It has been reported that soon the application will work with non Nokia Symbian devices. Source – india-server.com
