Its first Android based mobile AT&T put Backflip on sale

Great news for Motorola fans as mobile carrier AT&T have just released its first Google’s Android powered mobile the Motorola Backflip, as reported over on softpedia.com

Available right now AT&T customers willing to try out the Android platform on their carriers airwaves can now purchase the Motorola handset for just $99.99 if they are prepared to sign a two year contract and also after a mail in rebate.

The Motorola device doesn’t just bring with it Android that was already available for its users on other networks but it is rather unique in its design of the QWERTY keyboard which flips backwards. It also comes with Motorola’s MotoBlur solution which is thrown over the top of the Android operating system.

The price of $99.99 is on condition of signing a two year contract agreement with a $30 a month data service and there is also the $100 mail in rebate which is in the form of an AT&T promotion card. The Motorola Backflip has a 3.1 inch TFT touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 320 pixel HVGA resolution and support for 256k colours there is a 5 megapixel camera and much more.
