For all you iPhone toting arcade game fans that have been waiting patiently for the classic Tekken to hit the iPhone you can now rest easy as Namco has apparently confirmed that Tekken is coming to the iconic iPhone reports fonehome.

Apparently Namco who make Tekken are in the final stages of development of an iPhone version of Tekken which was one of the earliest 3D fighting games released way back in 1994.

Unfortunately that is all Namco has been forthcoming with, so exactly when Tekken for the iPhone should hit is still a mystery and apparently will not be making an appearance at the Game Developers Conference.

No details on whether Tekken for iPhone will be a port of the original Tekken or if it will be an iPhone take on Tekken 6 which was recently release for the PSP. So for now it’s, be happy knowing that Tekken is definitely coming to the iPhone; more as and when we hear.
